Bradley is backing a weekend festival of creativity that will put Bromsgrove on the cultural map.
Creative Art’s Showcase 24, which is taking place from Saturday, October 26th to Sunday, October 27th at Bromsgrove School, really is going to be the most amazing weekend of art, artisans and performance.
Exhibition visitors will be able to choose their favourite art pieces for ‘The People’s Choice’ artwork. The winning artwork will be Creative Arts’ poster artwork throughout 2025 and will appear all over the West Midlands.
The theme of the weekend is Capturing Creativity which encompasses an interactive Art Trail that will lead the viewer through the Arena full of artisan and craft stalls, through the Wellness Zone bursting with free opportunities to test out yoga, reiki and a range of therapies, and on to the Art exhibition itself.
The whole interactive experience is being enhanced by an extended team which includes professional curator Sonya Russell-Saunders, a senior creative producer who developed the creative learning programme and innovative digital art and technology events for young people at Midlands Arts Centre, Birmingham.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! Follow the Halloween trail around the Market Place Arena and Art Exhibition, so come dressed up to spook – or at least amuse! Collect your Treat & Treat bags at reception, or for free entry opportunities on Sunday, start at the Haunted Halloween Light Trail in Sanders Park on Saturday night and check out the Pizza Heaven Stand (no purchase needed – just say Creative tickets please!).
Bradley said:
“This weekend of creativity really is going to put Bromsgrove on the cultural map.
“What’s great about this event is that its making art and culture accessible to all. Art and culture can enrich our lives, especially in the fast pace of modern day life.
“I want to thank Creative Arts for their hard work in organising this superb weekend of fun and entertainment for the whole family.”
This year the Wellness Zone is courtesy of Sara Jones at Zenergy who explains:
"We’ve made all the workshops free to sign up for because we believe that everyone should have access to tools that support their wellbeing.
“This weekend is the perfect opportunity to dip your toe into something you’ve always fancied trying – whether that’s a sound bath, breathwork or crystal healing – without any pressure. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people feel comfortable experimenting with new wellness techniques that they can take forward into their everyday lives. We want to bring wellness into the community in a way that feels accessible and inclusive.”
Michael Punt, Headteacher at Bromsgrove School, added:
“We are delighted to welcome back the Creative Arts Showcase to use Bromsgrove School’s extensive facilities for a third year; we hope this event, as those of previous years, will be well supported by the Community.”
