Bradley Thomas, Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, meets with farmers and National Farmers Union in Bromsgrove
BROMSGROVE, UK — Bradley Thomas, the Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bromsgrove, held a productive meeting with local farmers and representatives from the National Farmers Union (NFU) this week. The meeting underscored the importance of supporting British farmers, who are the backbone of rural communities and provide vital food security.
Thomas said
“Farmers are the lifeblood of our rural communities, and their role cannot be overstated. They not only provide us with food security but also contribute significantly to our local economy. It’s crucial that we support them.”
During the meeting, Thomas listened to the concerns of the farmers and the NFU, promising to champion their cause in Parliament. He emphasised his commitment to ensuring that farmers receive the support they need to continue their essential work.
“British farmers are some of the hardest working people I know” Thomas said. “They deserve our utmost respect and support. If elected, I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure their voices are heard in Parliament.
This includes advocacy to ensure that farmers’ voices are heard at the highest level in Westminster and promoting British produce, the backbone of the UK’s food and drink industry.”
Emma Hamer, NFU County Advisor for Worcestershire said
“Farmers in the Bromsgrove constituency welcomed the opportunity to meet with Bromsgrove parliamentary candidate Bradley Thomas to raise our concerns around issues affecting our livelihoods.
We outlined our key asks of the next government to ensure farmers and growers can continue to deliver for the environment, economy and local communities while producing more of the great British food we all enjoy.
Britain’s farmers and growers produce high quality, climate-friendly food, fuel, fibre and flowers while maintaining and enhancing our beautiful countryside, protecting some of our most valuable natural assets and providing the foundation for the country’s largest manufacturing sector, food and drink.
We need politicians to work with us so we can fulfil our potential and continue to farm for Britain’s future.”
The meeting was well-received by the farming community, who appreciated Thomas’s understanding of their concerns and his commitment to supporting their livelihoods.
