Bradley has welcomed an extra 7,000 GP appointments being made available in Bromsgrove and the Villages.
As part of his Plan for Bromsgrove and the Villages in which Bradley promised to campaign for better local GP access, back in November, Bradley wrote to the Chief Executive of NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire, urging him to increase the number of GP appointments.
In his letter, Bradley acknowledged the challenges some residents are having in accessing GP appointments.
In response, Mr Trickett has confirmed that, as part of NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire’s Winter Plan for 2024/25, they have added nearly 7,000 additional appointments for Bromsgrove and the Villages residents to access over the coming year.
The latest figures also show that in September, more than 445,070 appointments were delivered across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, which represents a 15% increase on pre-pandemic levels. Of these total appointments, more than 41,000 were delivered across Bromsgrove practices.
Furthermore, the Friends and Family Test (FFT) results for Bromsgrove practices show that 92% of patients rated their practice as either ‘good’ or ‘very good’.
Bradley said:
“A key part of My Plan for Bromsgrove and the Villages includes improving GP access, so I’m really pleased to see NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire has made nearly 7,000 extra GP appointments available for residents in our constituency.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Simon Trickett to improve the health services that we all rely on.”
