Bromsgrove, Saturday 1 June 2024 — Following months of engaging with residents on the doorstep, Bradley Thomas officially launched his bold and forward-thinking campaign this weekend, announcing his plan to become the next Member of Parliament for Bromsgrove. With a vision rooted in community values and a commitment to progress, Worcestershire born and bred Bradley Thomas aims to bring a fresh perspective and dedicated leadership to address the pressing issues faced by Bromsgrove residents.
In a rousing speech to residents and supporters, Bradley Thomas outlined his campaign's core priorities, emphasising a comprehensive plan to enhance the quality of life for all constituents. The campaign focuses on tackling antisocial behaviour, protecting our cherished Greenbelt, securing a robust local economy, investing in our health and social care services, and driving high productivity and high employment.
Protecting our greenbelt
With a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, Bradley Thomas pledged to protect Bromsgrove's 89% Greenbelt. He said:
Our Greenbelt is a vital part of our heritage and natural beauty. I will champion the right houses, in the right places that preserve our green spaces while meeting the needs of our growing community.
This is crucial at a time when the Labour Party has nationally said that it would like to build new towns in areas with strong transport links.
Tackling Antisocial Behaviour
Bradley Thomas said:
Every resident deserves to feel safe in their community. I will work tirelessly to implement effective measures to reduce antisocial behaviour, ensuring that our streets and neighbourhoods are safe for everyone. By fostering strong partnerships between the local police and community organisations we will create a safer, more secure Bromsgrove.
Delivering a growing local economy
A thriving economy is the backbone of a prosperous local community. Bradley emphasised the importance of supporting local businesses and attracting new investments.
I will advocate for policies that foster economic growth, support small businesses, and create job opportunities. This includes business rate reform to support all businesses, including small and independent retailers in our town centres.
By investing in our local economy, we can build a prosperous future for all across the Bromsgrove constituency.
Investing in NHS and Social Care Services
Recognising the critical role of healthcare, Bradley committed to securing renewed focus on the delivery of our health and social care services.
Our NHS and social care services are the bedrock of our community's well-being. I will fight to ensure that these services receive the support they need to provide high-quality care to everyone, especially the most vulnerable.
More employment and better skills
Bradley said:
Employment is more than just a job; it is the foundation of a stable and fulfilling life. I will work to deliver better opportunities to equip local people with skills that will secure them well-paid local employment.
By promoting skills training and innovation, we can drive economic progress and improve the quality of life for all.
As Bradley continues on his ambitious campaign, his message is clear: with his dedicated leadership and commitment to the community, Bromsgrove can look forward to a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future.
